The folks at Rock West Composites are getting into the diving game and will unveil a new set of dive film blades at next week’s DEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The fins are made of 100% carbon fiber, woven, uni-directional prepreg epoxy. The laminate is quasi-isotropic, strategically stepped and balanced. Medium- and soft-flex versions are available.
The blade dimensions are 752mm X 210mm (29.6in X 8.27in), and it weighs 235 grams (8.29oz). The attachment tendon is a 22-degree angle designed to fit most popular foot pockets.
Rock West Composites this week also announced it had launched a new Marine Division that will focus on carbon, glass, and hybrid composite freediving fin blades as well as “wrapped and filament wound pole spear tubing, speargun chassis, gaffs, harpoons, technical diving backplates, and mechanical component substructures.”
